Utica Creative Reuse Pop-Up Thrift Shop is Now Open!

We are so excited to announce that our pop-up thrift shop is now open, with affordable, second-hand, environmentally sustainable arts supplies, all thanks to the generosity and environmental consciousness of our community members!

Visit us at the Oneida County Public Market, behind Union Station, on Saturdays from 9am – 1pm, starting June 8, 2024!

All proceeds from sales in our thrift shop support our organization’s mission of advancing environmental sustainability and equitable access to the arts in our community!

6/8 Box Truck Workshop at Sculpture Space

A Box-Truck Workshop Saturday June 8th from 3-5pm at the sculpture space studio. An immersive workshop co-hosted with Utica Creative Reuse & Sculpture Space Inc. Admission is FREE and Open to the Public. Sponsored in part by the NYS Council on the Arts. Join artist Xayvier Haughton to celebrate the rich tradition of box truck-making as  a vital part of his Jamaican heritage. By creating these trucks, this even aims to preserve and honor the artistry and significance of box truck-making in Jamaican artistic development. Through this interactive workshop, he'll foster intergenerational learning and strengthen bonds while exploring the unique art of box truck-making. Don't miss out on this opportunity to embrace your creativity and this unique cultural event.

Xayvier Haughton, artist in residence at Sculpture Space, will be hosting a workshop to teach you how to make Jamaican box truck toys by upcycling milk and juice cartons this weekend, Saturday, June 8th, at the Sculpture Space studio from 3-5pm! This is a family-friendly, free event, open to the public. You can RSVP to let us know you’re coming!
