Trash to Treasure: A Group Exhibition of Found-Object Art

2025 Trash to Treasure Art Challenge

Since the Earth Week kick-off event in April, participating artists have been working on turning trash and found objects into works of art for the Trash to Treasure Art Challenge. This annual community art event, now in its second year, challenges us to create more sustainable art, and consider the capacity for reuse of items that are commonly discarded.

Come celebrate the artists who participated in the Trash to Treasure Art Challenge this year, picking up trash in CNY and creating art out of salvaged materials!

Join us for the opening of the 2025 Trash to Treasure Found-Object Art Exhibition and an artists’ reception on Friday, September 12 from 6-8pm at Utica Creative Reuse, 734 Columbia Street, Utica, NY.

The exhibition will be on view from September 12-October 17th.
