June Creative Reuse Events
Join us for a free event in June! This month we will be making miniatures, creating fabric twine out of fabric scraps, celebrating Pride with the Art Club, making gifts for Father’s Day, fixing stuff, and making time to play!

- Thursday 6/4, 6pm – 8pm: Miniatures on Magnets Create miniature objects out of scraps and make tiny sculptures to decorate a refrigerator magnet!
Register for this FREE EVENT - Saturday 6/6 & Saturday 6/13, 1pm – 3pm: Found-Object Mosaics Learn how to create mosaic art using found-objects and traditional techniques in this two-part class!
Register for this FREE EVENT - Saturday 6/11, 3pm – 7pm: Art Club A free event open to all for making art and making friends. Celebrate Pride Month with print-making, painting, build your own pride flag activities, and more!
RSVP for this FREE EVENT - Thursday 6/18, 6pm – 8pm: Fabric Twine Learn how to turn fabric scraps into colorful, durable twine that can be used for a variety of fiber arts projects!
Register for this FREE EVENT - Saturday 6/20, 11am – 1pm: Kids’ Gift-Making Lab Bring your grownup and make a gift for Father’s Day!
RSVP for this FREE EVENT - Thursday 6/25, 6pm-8pm: Repair Café Bring something that is broken or needs mending. Sign up to volunteer, or register to get something fixed!
- Saturday 6/27, 11am – 1pm: Sensory Play Group Explore multiple stations of sensory play spaces made of upcycled materials. This event is geared towards 2 – 5 year olds, but kids of all ages are welcome!

Opportunities at UCR
The submission deadline for Trash to Treasure is Saturday June 20! You can drop off art during our open hours that week, or contact us for help submitting your project!

- Call for Artists: Create artwork for Trash to Treasure 2026! Selected works will be shown in a group exhibition on view at Utica Creative Reuse, July 2026. Exhibiting artists will receive an honorarium for their work.
- Teach a Class: Contact us about teaching a class a Utica Creative Reuse. Instructors are offered an honorarium for their time, and class materials are supplied by Utica Creative Reuse. Classes are free for the public to attend!
- Volunteer Opportunities: Check out current volunteer opportunities at uticacreativereuse.org/volunteer. Sort donations, repair items at a Repair Café,

Donations of Materials and Supplies
Donations of arts and crafts materials and supplies are accepted on Fridays at Utica Creative Reuse! Please check our list of accepted materials before donating!
